Curious George

Curious George is an Emmy award-winning animated TV series on PBS based on the popular books by Margret and H.A. Rey. Aimed at preschoolers, the series’ goal is to inspire children to explore science, engineering, and math in the world around them through exploration, observation, discovery, and curiosity. Curious George, the world's most curious monkey, finds new things to discover, touch, spill, and chew, often leading to unintended consequences! George's memorable misadventures – from dismantling clocks to rounding up errant bunnies – offer a perfect vehicle for motivating kids to expand their own investigations of the world. Curious about the world around them, children begin to observe properties, discover how things work, and develop scientific thought processes. Curious George is the number one show in the nation among preschoolers since its debut in 2006.

GBH’s multi-platform partnership with Imagine Entertainment and Universal Studios Family Productions expands the existing global Curious George franchise into an educational powerhouse including the television series and TV movies by GBH (PBS’s largest producer of content), a series of companion books by Houghton Mifflin, animated feature films by Imagine and Universal, a companion website with content including caregiver-child activity guides and educational curricula, online and board games, and experiential opportunities and theatrical productions.
